Bell & Howl for Solo Saxophone(s) and Wind Ensemble US $75 Media Content

"Bell & Howl" is a programmatic work depicting a typical day in the life of saxophonist Lee Elderton during a period in his life in 1998. Each movement represents a different segment of that day, and the various moods that embodied him. From the serenity of the first movement through the raucous and humorous finale, the piece was orchestrated with the intent to not only entertain the audience; but the soloist, players, and conductor as well while using a traditional setting for Wind Ensemble. The soloist is featured on alto saxophone, soprano saxophone, and in one movement, both alto and soprano simultaneously!

Notturno for Wind Ensemble US $60 Media Content

Notturno is the setting of a beautiful, lyrical piece of music for the wind band. The smooth and flowing juxtaposition of duple and triple rhythms and expressive range of dynamics provide a foundation for the haunting melody, which passes elegantly from section to section. The orchestration was built around the original harp part, but it is not essential to the piece if the ensemble does not have one.

You're A Mean One, Mr. Grinch! for "Great Big Electrowhocardioflook" or any other low instrument soloist and Wind Ensemble US $60 Media Content

This orchestration includes cues to cover harp, string bass, double reeds, French horns, and other essential passages should the ensemble not have those instruments at their disposal, making it the ideal holiday arrangement for advanced middle school, high school, college, and community wind ensembles. Solo parts are included for Bb, Eb, and C transpositions, allowing for a myriad of soloist choices. This is a great way to feature the "low" section of a group. It's short, it's cute, and just plain fun!
